Terms of Use

The rules for using this website, and how payments, refunds and cancellations work when you hire us.

01About these terms

These terms apply to your use of the Project Abel website. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. "We", "us" and "our" mean Project Abel.

02Using the site

You may browse and share this site for personal and business purposes. You agree not to misuse it, including by trying to break into it, disrupt it, copy it in bulk with automated tools, or use it for anything unlawful.

03Our content and brands

The text, design, graphics and logos on this site belong to Project Abel or its companies and are protected by copyright and trademark law. "Project Abel", "FTLOTG", "For The Love Of The Game" and their logos are brands of Project Abel and its companies. You may not use them without our written permission, except to refer to us accurately.

04Information only

Content on this site describes our services in general terms. It is not an offer, a quote or professional advice. Examples, such as the automation workflow shown on the home page, are illustrations, and real projects are tailored to each business.

Any work we do for you is covered by a separate written proposal or agreement, which sets out the scope, price, timeline and terms for that project. If that agreement conflicts with these terms, the agreement wins.

05Inquiries

Sending us an inquiry does not create a client relationship or oblige either of us to anything. Please do not send confidential or highly sensitive information until we have agreed to work together. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle what you send.

06Payments, refunds and cancellations

This section applies when you hire us for a project. If we sign a separate written agreement with you, that agreement takes priority where the two differ.

Quotes. Before any work starts, you get a written quote that sets out what is included and the price. The prices on our website are starting prices; your quote is the final price for the work described in it.

Deposits and payment. Projects start once a 50% deposit is paid. The rest is due when the work is finished, before final files are handed over or your website goes live. Smaller jobs, such as a single logo or ad, may be paid in full up front. Payments are processed securely by Stripe, and we never see or store your full card details.

Changes. Each project includes 2 rounds of changes. Extra rounds, new features or anything outside the quote are priced separately, and we always agree the cost with you before doing that work.

Refunds.

  • If you cancel before we start work, we refund your deposit in full.
  • Once work has started, the deposit is non-refundable, because it covers the time we have already set aside and the work done at the start.
  • If we cancel a project or cannot deliver what we agreed, we refund everything you have paid for work not delivered.
  • Payments for work that has been completed and delivered are not refundable.

Canceling part way through. You can cancel a project at any time by emailing us. You pay for the work done up to that point, based on your quote. If you have paid more than that, we refund the difference within 14 days.

Monthly plans. Monthly services, such as website care or content plans, can be canceled at any time with 30 days' notice. We do not refund the current month.

Ownership. Once a project is paid in full, the final website, logo and design files we made for you belong to you.

Problems. If you are unhappy with anything, please email projectabelco@gmail.com first and we will work with you to put it right. Nothing in these terms affects any rights you have under the law.

07Links and third-party services

This site may link to other websites, including our companies' sites and social media. We are not responsible for the content or practices of websites we do not control. Projects we deliver may use third-party platforms and AI tools, which are governed by their own terms.

08No warranties

We work to keep this site accurate and available, but it is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will always be available, error-free or up to date.

09Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Project Abel is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, data or business opportunity, arising from your use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when they last changed. Using the site after an update means you accept the new terms.

11Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the place where Project Abel is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about this website will be handled by the courts of that place, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it locally.
